Design Inspiration
Rooted in retro French pastoral aesthetics, this collection draws inspiration from the attires of young ladies in European country estates, adopting vintage elements including boned corsets, lace and satin long skirts. Traditional vintage dresses are tight, heavy and impractical for daily wear, hence the design concept of "vintage silhouette with modern comfort core".
Created to meet modern people’s desire for relaxed and soothing dressing experience, the dresses feature wider hems and less restrictive cuts to balance elegance and comfort. Retro styling is not simple element stacking: classic structures are retained to identify the style, while redundant decorations are removed and silhouettes revised to fix the bulkiness and limited occasion issues of old vintage garments. Lightweight revisions on traditional shapes retain retro charm and fit modern minimalist tastes, ensuring long-lasting style value.

This collection draws inspiration from Artemis, Greek Goddess of the Moon.
Artemis stands for silvery moonlight, purity, freedom, solemn grace and natural sanctity — an icon of serenity, romance and empowered femininity. Possessing the dignified poise of a deity as well as the untamed softness of the wilderness, she radiates the cool, tender glow of moonlight.
Translating lunar haze, quiet night‑time tenderness and the goddess’s hallowed bearing into apparel, we steer clear of excessive embellishment. Through negative‑space construction, flowing textures and gentle silhouettes, we recreate the dreamlike effect of moonlight draping over the body, endowing garments with solemn, ethereal and romantic vintage charm.

It explores the unique romantic charm of European vintage costumes, and takes classic waist‑cinching silhouettes, layered ruffles and delicate lace details as its core design elements. Traditional European retro costumes feature elaborate decorations and heavy silhouettes, which are not suitable for modern daily scenarios. For this reason, the design avoids direct replication of vintage styles
Throughout the creation process, I kept striking a balance between retro atmosphere and modern minimalism, so as to prevent an old‑fashioned and overly theatrical look caused by excessive stacking of decorative elements. Techniques including modern three‑dimensional draping, structural darts and lightweight fabric processing are applied to improve the bulky and dragging silhouette of traditional retro clothing. Redundant decorations are simplified while the elegant retro charm is preserved.
With retro aesthetics as the soul and modern craftsmanship as the framework, this design integrates the romantic language of classical court costumes into contemporary tailoring, achieving both artistic atmosphere and practical wearability. Freeing retro aesthetics from historical restrictions, it interprets a new light‑luxury retro style for modern life with the support of modern craftsmanship.
